Start of the Family Business

So my family and I are starting up a restaurant.

And by that, I mean it should be open by the first of the year.

I plan on posting things about it here when I have a chance.

I will try to make it brief and or under a cut so you can move by it and not have to look at all the BBQ goodness...

but why would you want to do that?

So we have decided to just have all of the services in Texas.

As such we will be flying out tomorrow out of indy into Dallas.

Services will be at the
Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home
705 N Locust Street
Denton Texas
940-382-6622

Services will be on Wed. at 2pm.
Grave side services to follow.

I am posting all this for family, for those who are curious, and for history so I will have it written down somewhere.

We will be back late Thursday.

On a separate note I am doing okay. This has been an interesting experience, my Mom's place just feels so empty without him.

Not sure if many of you remember me getting hit, head on by a drunk driver last November. But I did. Came out of it okay and little worse for the wear.

However there is and has always been a problem. You see the 1st officer on the Scene was NOT the officer who drew the crash report. In fact the 1st officer had me move my car to the side of the road.

SO when the second officer drew the big'ole accident drawing it showed my car left of center.

And well that is what the other's guys insurance is using to keep me 70% at fault in the accident.

It has now gone to a secondary process and they STILL found me at fault! you may ask WHY? BECAUSE THEY SAY NO ONE ACTUALLY GOT THE GOD DAMN POLICE REPORT CHANGED. Which according to the officer is not true.

Soooo at this point I am going to get a copy of the report and prove to the idiots in insurance that I'm not at fault.

I mean the guy blew .30 Come on.

I am however convinces things will work out as I am going to get that find that report and shove ti down someones throat.

Walter is still down in Tennessee, and at this time will more than likely be there for the remainder of the month. He does however, wish he could be around his friends. He's created a LiveJournal so that he can communicate with the people up here and stay connected - I'm sure he'd love to get a note from you guys so he wouldn't feel so isolated.

If you're his friend, go friend him (and let his other friends know) - he needs the community.

So the dress updating has me wanting to talk about mine.

Currently we are in a love/hate relationship.

For example, when the fabric was cut to the correct size... it no longer matches up, so I have having to improvise and cut fabric off the top of the under dress to make the selves work. and I haven't evn started the over dress...

I'm crazy.

However if It works, it will be the AWESOME!!!

Any advise for one who is ripping her hair out?

So my husband and I started watching Season One of Supernatural.

I knew I would love it. But what is surprising me, is Walt through all of this. Unlike most shows we watch were he asks a lot of questions that I have no answer to, such as who is that?, what was that?, etc. He seems content just watching, and enjoying it.

Here is hoping Netflix delivers the next disk soon.

Is season two out yet?

So here is my giant list o-doom to get done before we make the 6-7 hour drive down to Walt's family:
(this is more for me than for anyone else)

Make candy for gifts
*Mounds (choc. & coconut) - DONE
*Peppermint bark - DONE
*chocolate covered stuff (oreo's, Candy canes) - DONE
*rice crispy treats- DONE
*peanut butter fudge - DONE

Finish wrapping xmas presents
Xmas w/ my family on Thursday - DONE
Clean out car - DONE
laundry
clean up house more
oil change - DONE
pack - DONE

Not bad.

Got WONDERFUL christmas presents from my family.

New watch- very nice, black leather, and silver very stylish Watch!
Guitar Hero 2 - YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO addictive!
Brain Age for DS My brain is 44... I feel old.
New dishes Pretty dishes pictured here. I love my Mom.

So yeah.

Time to pick up the Walt and head out of state!

You know what sucks:

Have 1 husband x 4 months of sick
Then add 40 hours vacation + 40 sick hours + 24 hrs personal time.

The subtract all those hours due to taking care of said husband.

What does that leave?

A Heather with a 101.7 degree fever, who can't call in cause she has used all *her* time on her husband.

The suck.

Some general thougths

So I have begun the GREAT SEWING MONTH of 06. I am currently working on d_c_m 's dress (Due Oct 20), and David M's coat(Over Due, but I want it done by Oct 31). And well I need to start on no less than 3 quilts (one due on Nov 27 the others in Dec .)

Sigh.

I wish I had a machine that could do buttons. Any advice for someone who has an...ok machine, but has to do some 36 buttons on one coat?

We found out last night that Walter's grandfather passed from this world.

Although not a good man, he was still a loving Grandfather to Walter. Many times over I think Walt looked up to him. He taught Walt how to play checkers, and although they played every time they meet, Walter never beat him in a game. Not once.

I mourn now, for my husband, who never got the chance to ask questions to a man who lead an interesting life.

I am trying to convince Walt to go to the funeral. He thinks it will hurt his work if he does. *sigh*

I am taking off and trying to get him to go. Either way the funeral is in TN and on Thursday morning.

Boat Rides and thoughts on the afterlife (Game post)

First and foremost I want to thank Alyc as Death. Not only did she give me some AMAZING one on one RP, she helped both Heather and Kaye come to grips with Kaye's death.

It is an odd realization when you figure out IC that your death was not what you thought it would be and through accepting that path, come to grips with it IC and OOC. Literally Kaye helped Heather with Kaye's death. You see even now I do not mourn "my" death. I am at peace. I have a Zen that I don't think I have ever felt as this character. Plus I had so many internal realizations about my character after talking with Death. I feel as if my outlook has not changed only become so clear it is no longer the same point of view. I think the next few months will be good. :)

To better describe it, it is as if all the stress, angst, hatred, anger, pity, sadness, all of it is gone. There is only peace. And that is a GREAT feeling. I think in all honesty I have NEVER felt this good after a changeling game. I am in the Zone and the Zone is good!

I think this is what it was Semele was talking about. Peace with everything. The song of Ekstasis.

It's kind of neat.

I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone in next months game, that's for sure.

I am looking forward to some talks with those on the boat if they wish. It will give me a chance to explore my current state of Zen/Ekstasis.

Hallelujah !!!!!!

So as of today I am now the Executive Assistant to the Regional President of Old National Bank.

What does that mean, you ask?

1. A M-F 8am - 5:30 pm Job with Bennies(health, dental, vision, vacation, 401k, profit share, etc)
I will be a pivotal part of the ONB management team for the region, with my focus being on Community outreach, and customer appreciation and event planning. So in other words I just became ONB's Set Manager and resident Boggan. :)

2. I WANT TO CELEBRATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Sunday, if people want to get together for Lunch, My plan is to go to the Snow Lion to celebrate, then Ice Cream! Or if everyone else has a better idea, that is not too expensive (as I am still broke at the moment, but not for long *beam*) feel free to comment. And if you want to join me you should comment as well, because I should make some kind of reservations.

Only bad thing- I am technically going to have to be a temp for 90 days till the Bank can hire me.

Regardless I am supper excited.

And now off to Wicked, Mythical Chicago (yes Jen and Sarah I will tell it you said HI), and a drug screening.

Job Hunt

So I am desperatly looking for a job.

If anyone knows anything let me know... until then I am driving to the Dial this afternoon to look for a temp position till I find a better job.
